A days sour into night for both Mensah’s and Michael’s family, yet Josephine is nowhere to be found.
Phone ringed,
Sami picked hurriedly,
Emma, any news from her ?
Are you listening to breaking news on news TV?
Sami quickly stood up with imbalance and ache on his head.
Turn on the television which he had forgotten it exist for the past two days.
Breaking news: A plane has been hijack by Nigerian Terrorist 122 peoples were on board. The plane is going to land in Abuja from Lagos.
Oh! Oooh! Sami passed out . . .
He woke up in the hospital after 45minutes.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Hello everyone, keep your mouth shut.
I tolerate no nonsense. It took me less than a minute to blow off head.
So keep your mouth shut!!!
You people have been keeping as a hostage.
Do not try to prove smart for anything.
I have realized that majority here incorporate with your family embezzled our country money for your selfish interest.
I will make you feel what we feel been less privilege. We lack so many so many amenities.
All these were said by the terrorist leader.
The leader moves closer to Josephine, she was shuddering as the man approaching. The man is tall, broad chested, well sculptured, with hoarse voice.
Who are you? The man glowered at him.
Ooooh! Hmmm….
Answer me!
Who are you? He repeated in a stern tone
I am . . . I am . . . Josephine Michael
Really? The same Michael?
You are the only daughter of Michael’s family. You are the one your father cherished most.  The man question sarcastically.
Yes … Josephine said impatiently
what a big catch…
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Sami landed at the lekki mansion where Michael Family resides.
Mr. Michael has locked himself in his bedroom since the last confrontation of Josephine.
Welcome Sami;
what a surprise visit. Mrs. Michael said with smile
Mr. Michael over heard Sami’s voice
He ran outside the room to call for him.
Sami . . . Sami. . .  He said calmly.
I need to have words with you.
Sami entered the room with, Sami close the door behind him.
So you told her the truth.
Michael said, sitting behind his big mirror inside his room.
Its time for her to know the truth. Sami hands shoved in his pockets and faced Josephine’s father.
Josephine’s father was silent feeling defeated. He heaved a sign and stood up, went nearer to Sami.
Sami, I know, I did terrible things by breaking your relationship with Josephine, but . . . you have to understand,
as a father, I was just being very protective to my daughter. I love her and I don’t want her future ruined because of  . . .  obsessive love. Beside, you broke your promise.  You swore not to touch her.
I know and I regretted breaking that promise, Mr, Mensah.
Several times, I apologized already about it. Sami said firmly.
Mr. Michael nodded. I would like to apologize for what I did too. First for threatening you. But rest assured that,
that was with your father’s permission. Your parents were so worried of your relationship also. We have the same concern. We were afraid that both of you wouldn’t be able to finish your studies.
Your chance to mingle with new friend new friends, explore things and opportunities would be gone because you are so engrossed with each other.
Your father was so worried since you would be running the family business.
Yes, I realized that. I accept apology.
Mr. Patrick Michael, but if I were in your shoe, I would deal with the situation subtly. You are a good business man, and yet you forgot to apply planning in dealing with us. Instead, you deal with Josephine and I ruthlessly like our hearts were made of stone.
Yes, you see us very successful now, brilliant, and achievers and admired by other people but deep inside, our hearts were scared and broken by that traumatic experience. No amount of money could ever repair it.
Mr. Patrick’s shoulders slumped. His face was swollen and shattered. He suddenly looked older than his fifty five years of age.
You will understand how ii felt once you have a daughter of your own Sami. As a father, I had primal need to protect Josephine at all cost. She was weak, fragile, very independent and innocent.
She was my little girl and so young, dating you at fifteen. He suddenly paced his office back and forth. I remember, every time I went home from work, I couldn’t explain the happiness I felt when the mansion gates opened and there I saw my beautiful princess jumping happily and running towards me. She would give me a tight hug and kisses. All the tiredness I felt during the day suddenly vanished. He paused and wiped the moisture in his eyes. That happiness stopped, the moment I saw her in the patio crying. She didn’t even notice me arriving home. Then Emma told me that he caught you and Josephine in the basement making out.
My world suddenly smirked and shook his head. And you know what, every time I sized you up, your intentions and your worth. I always assessed you if you treated her nicely, if you respected and lover her with all your heart . . . and yes, you did, you loved my beautiful princess, the same way I love her. He groaned and faced Sami.
And now, I failed again. I regretted everything I did, and I’m paying for it now, I failed again.
I regretted everything I did and I’m paying for it now. I wish Josephine could ever forgive me, and I wish with all my heart . . . that you and Josephine will be together again . . .
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Your father is one of those foreigners that come into our country to exploit us?
Your father is part of those that kill our sons and daughter. The leader said angrily.
My father is not a killer, he is a business man. Josephine murmured.
Shut up!
Your father kills our children with hunger.
In fact I will avenge our son’s death by kill you. . .
Murmur swept the floor . . .
